MONASTERIES KOM AND VRANJINA

Monastery Vranjina is located on the same island. Here is the village and the monastery of St. Nicholas. The monastery is considered one of the oldest in these places, it was built in the XIII century. However, during its long history, the monastery was seriously damaged, it was restored several times. Today, some of its relics are kept in the Cetinje monastery, because the restoration work is not completed.

At the Odrinsky mountain is the monastery of Kom, its peculiarity is that the monastery itself is impregnable. So tourists will have to explore it from the outside. Some monasteries on the Mount Athos are completely closed from outsiders. However, such monasteries are not only on Skadar lake. The monastery of St. George in the Bay of Kotor is also closed to outsiders. The monks have no contact with anyone.
